Windy Day in Dover....

.....Of course most days are, but it was 65 degrees here today. We couldn't pass up the chance to take a walk after several days in the teens-thirties. Here are a few photos of our fun. We made the whole round of base housing and stopped at one of the playgrounds to let Garin swing and slide for the first time. If you look at the photo of him on the swings, his face says it all. There is little point in purchasing a tree swing for this child. From the moment it started swinging, he looked like he was nauseous, and he was none too reluctant when we pulled him back out. On the other hand, the round-and-round slide, as my sister and I used to call them when we were kids, was a huge hit! I took him up and slid down with him. Then Daddy took him down. Then he wanted to climb back up, so Daddy followed him, and I grabbed him at the top. He didn't want to be held; he just wanted to GO! He ended up going down several times by himself, with me at the top to get him flat on his back and let him go, and Daddy at the bottom to catch him. He loved it!!!
