EEEEEWWWW....GROSS!!!!!!

I sat down to check email this morning, and Garin was playing in the floor. I happened to look over and notice that he had something small in his hand, headed for the mouth, of course. (I vacuum often and try to keep anything small out of reach from him, obviously.) I went over and opened his hand to grab it, and whatever it was felt mushy in my hand. I looked at it and got completely grossed out. It was a dead cricket!!!! There are crickets everywhere here right now....inside and out. I've heard neighbors talk about lying awake at night because there is a noisy one in the house, and we've all gone in search of that one that won't shut up and never found him. We both washed our hands real well after this morning's "treat". I guess I'll have to do cricket patrol now before I set him down.

Matt had a great time at his homecoming dance Saturday night, and he just seems to be doing so well this year all around. I'm so eager to see him Wednesday!

It's another gorgeous morning, and I've got a lot to do, so I'll go for now. I'm looking forward to good news about Papaw's surgery later today.
