Garin's Surgery

Today's trip to CHOP went as expected. Garin will need surgery, but in this there was a blessing! We were afraid that we would be scheduling a surgery not knowing if Karl would be overseas and Garin and I would be on our own. They had no openings until late November except for two openings next week, on Monday and Tuesday. Although this means doing it right away, it will be good to get it over with and for Karl to be here with us. So Garin will be having surgery next Monday, but it will be a same-day surgery, so he'll be home in his own bed that night. There will be some restrictions for a couple of weeks while he heals, but it shouldn't be too bad. Just please pray that everything is routine and that there are no problems....also that Garin is not fearful when he goes to the operating room before they put him under, for all our sakes.
