This morning is the big parade to kick off Fire Prevention Week here on base. Many, many local fire departments, plus our base fire department, will be driving all through base housing this morning at 10 am, ringing bells and blaring sirens. There will be mascot-type characters riding along. It's really neat! Last year, it was so loud that Garin heard it from inside my tummy and starting rolling around all over the place when the parade passed our house. While the older kids love it, it's not exactly designed for the babies' enjoyment, so we won't be standing on the curb. Fortunately, they're lining up right outside our front door since the parade starts right on our corner. We went out early to see the City of Dover truck, and Garin had a picture with the fireman!
