Plans Change

Well, once again, I am learning to practice flexibility. After weeks of planning, our girls' trip to NYC was finally happening. I was excited about going but also a little apprehensive about being so far away from Garin for the day. I kept asking God to give me a clear direction on this....whether I should take a day away with friends or stay home with Garin. I had finally made peace with going, and then I got a sinus infection and got Augmentin, which always does ugly things to my tummy. I started wondering again if I should go but decided it would be okay. Then tonight, Garin threw up all over himself and me. That was my answer. I love it when you ask God for clarity, and He wallops you upside the head (or in this case, all down the front of your sweater) with His response! I'm so disappointed to miss the trip, but I'm always so thankful for those times when it seems like God says, "I'm here, I'm listening, and I am interested in every moment of your life. Thanks for remembering to ask Me."

I am so in love with my handsome hubby and my incredible boys. In the last 24 hours, each of them has brought his own ray of sunshine into my life. Just wanted to say so.
