Answered Prayer

Thank you all for your prayers for Ron. God heard and answered, although not exactly the way we expected.

This morning Ron went into cardiac arrest again and could not be resuscitated. He has been fully, completely and forever healed by the Great Physician. It is a painful thing for his family to see him go, but he was mentally and spiritually prepared for this day.

A beautiful sidenote to this sad story is that just last weekend, the family had arranged a 40th anniversary party for Ron and Penny. They had known that a 50th was unlikely and wanted them to have a chance to celebrate their life together. One week ago today, they were the guests of honor and were surrounded by precious family and friends. They were able to enjoy the day and the next day, Father's Day, as a family.

Please continue to keep them all in your prayers. Greg, my brother-in-law, is trying to find a flight to get him home from South Dakota right now. My sister and the kids will be on the road today. Please especially pray for Penny right now. Wendy, their daughter, and her husband and children also need special prayer, as life for them is very difficult right now.
