Let's Go Fly a Kite!

It's been a fun and rather lazy day for the boys and me. We had a late night and slept a little later than usual this morning. Karl, Matt and I stayed up until almost midnight playing blackjack and then the left, right, center dice game. Of course, there was no money involved, but we had fun! Matt wanted to stay up and talk, so I went to his room with him and lay on D's bed while we talked for about an hour. We finally hit the wall about 1 am, and I went on to bed.

Today was spent hanging around the house until about 3:30, when we went to pick Matt's new eyeglasses. Karl met us there after his annual physical, and when we got done, he took Matt kite shopping. It's been so windy here the last few days....okay, so basically it's been windy since September. Matt's been talking about getting a kite, so they went shopping for one while Garin and I headed home to finish up with dinner preparations. Karl and Matt have been in our backyard flying that kite for the last 45 minutes. Garin and I played for awhile, too, but with a cold and without a nap, Garin's patience ran out, and we headed back inside.

Here are some pics of the fun. It's a chilly but gorgeous day! I couldn't help but miss D and K and think about how much fun it would be if they were here, too. I look forward to having four kids laughing and chasing kites together.
