My Man

Just got done video chatting with my hubby online! I am still in awe that technology allows me to see his face and hear his voice in real time from the other side of the world. Sure beats how my grandparents corresponded during WWII. I can't imagine having to wonder all the time. Even when they got a letter, it was so old that anything could have happened since it was sent. So Karl is safe and in his room for the night, thankfully. There were some issues that had to be resolved before the alert yesterday, and they kept him busy up unti flight time, so he wasn't able to call. Of course, he felt awful about it, but there was nothing he could have done. He flies again tomorrow and then will stop for another period of crew rest....day or night, I'm not sure. If all goes well, they will be home some time Friday, but there are some jet issues (what a surprise) that need repair tonight. To sum up, I'll see him when I see him. I'm just so glad to hear his voice, see his handsome face and know he's alright. Thought some of you would like to know too!
