Quick Update

Karl's Memaw is in ICU but is recovering. She had a head-to-toe MRI, and she has 7 broken ribs, all on one side, and a punctured lung. They said that there was a lot of bleeding from the lung, and she coughed a lot and swallowed a lot of the blood. That was what was causing her to vomit blood. Susan said Peggy was wearing a helmet, thankfully, and that she lay in the pasture for a long time before the ambulance came because Dalton had to ride back to the house to call, and they live so far out in the country that it took awhile for the ambulance to arrive. Memaw will have a painful recovery, but it looks like she will be okay. It certainly could have been a lot worse.
