New Life

Many of you know know my dear friend, Amanda, from Illinois. She is the associate pastor of my church there and co-officiated with my brother-in-law at our wedding. She called me this morning to tell me that she's "officially a mommy," to quote her. Her water broke at 4-something Monday morning, and Mason Kahle Richards was born this morning at 12:37! He was a good bit early but is 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 18.5 inches long and perfectly healthy. Amanda and Brian are tired but elated. It's always such a miracle, isn't it?! I can't wait to get my hands on him!
