Garin had his one-year checkup and shots today. Amazingly, the shots didn't faze him...not a sound, not a tear. Matt was always such a screamer! Garin is 30" and 22 lbs., so he's right at the 50% mark on height and lower on weight.

A friend stopped by tonight to drop off some Girl Scout cookies I ordered from her daughter. Her husband is on the same mission with Karl. She just happened to mention that they had to shut down an engine on the way to Spain yesterday. Funny....Karl didn't say a word about it to me. He's good about trying to keep me from worrying! He is in the Middle East for the night and will be heading west again tomorrow. We were able to talk for a while tonight on the web cam. He looked tired but handsome as always!

It's been a good day, and I'm getting sleepy already....g'night!
