Forgive a proud wife for applauding her husband: The endless hours that my husband has been working in recent weeks in preparation for the exercise this week are being rewarded! He came home this evening feeling really good about what he heard from the debrief of the first crew that returned. Apparently, he had his squadron very well trained for the exercise, and they were able to execute the tasks that were required of them well and in a great deal less time than they were allowed. The squadron's crews, from what he's heard so far, performed exceptionally! I'm so proud of him and the guys and gal who work with him! Of course, I had no doubt they would be successful. :o)
As smart as my husband is....well, I wasn't today. I was chasing Garin when he ran into my closet, scooped him up, turned around and *CRACK!* - smacked my head against the corner of the door frame. I think I must have a slight concussion, as I have been feeling goofy all afternoon with nausea, dizziness and a splitting headache. Karl wasn't very pleased with me that I didn't call him right away, but I knew he would rush home and stare at me all day, and he had too much going on at work to do that. I wasn't that bad off, but I did spend most of the afternoon on the couch. I am hoping that I will wake up feeling fine in the morning.
Nothing new to report in the adoption arena today. We're just counting down the days until Monday (4 more to go!), when our dossier is supposed to be registered!
